GLONASS Satellites “ISS” to Be Assembled and Tested in New Building


The company “Information Satellite Systems named after academician Reshetnev” will get a new assembly and test facility to build the satellites, the press service of the Russian Spetsstroy reports.

“Assembly and testing building, erected in the framework of the federal target program “GLONASS”, is the largest among all the structures built for the 55-year history of the space enterprise,” it was said in a statement.

It notes that the area along with the underground part is more than 45,500 square meters, the height is about 34 meters. After completion of construction, the assembly and testing of satellites will be effectuated under one roof.
