Russia to Create Sites for Drones

Specialized testing ground for unmanned aerial vehicles will soon be established in Russia. The deputy director of the Foundation for Advanced Studies Igor Denisov told about this to Tass at the opened military-industrial conference.

“According to the Defense Ministry and Ministry of Industry and Trade, there is a work on the deployment sites for testing of unmanned aircraft,” he said, without specifying the timing of these plans.

Denisov also noted that the Russian Federation develops now a combat unmanned aircrafts, but they are still in their infancy. “The problem is that in any case the decision to kill is taken by the man. And in this sense the idea of drones that will automatically find their goals and hit them, actually borders with fantasy,” the deputy head of the fund said.
