Test Firing of Anti-Aircraft Short-Range Complex “Sosna” to End in October


Fire tests of mobile anti-aircraft missile complex of short-range “Sosna” will be completed by the end of the year, the Managing Director of “KBtochmash named after Nudelman”, deputy director of the NPO “Precision complexes” Vladimir Slobodchikov told. “The final stage of the fire tests will be held in October,” he said.

According to the source, the new complex uses a two-stage guided missiles “Sosna-R”, which equip marine systems “Palma”. The range of these missiles is 1-10 kilometers; they are equipped with two warheads with a total mass of 7 kg and non-contact laser-pole fuse.

Fighting machine with a set of “Sosna” is equipped with 12 missiles, recharge takes 12 minutes.
