EMD Brigade Defends Klerk Cape from Imaginary Enemy

The motorized infantry brigade of the Eastern Military District together with the aviation managed to defend Klerk Cape from the imaginary enemy’s attack in Primorye, despite the adverse weather conditions. This information was furnished by the press service of the Russian Defence Ministry on Wednesday.

“The tasks of antiamphibious assault defence of Klerk Cape’s sea coast in Primorye were accomplished by the 70th Brigade of the 5th Army of the Eastern Military District. This episode involved about 1,000 servicemen and about 300 units of weapons and military equipment,” the Russian Defence Ministry reported, adding that the imaginary enemy was fired by two Ka-52 Alligator combat helicopters.

“Cloudy and foggy weather complicated the maneuvers by significantly reducing visibility,” the press service noted.

It should be noted that the Vostok-2014 exercises are taking place at more than 20 land, sea and air ranges from Anadyr to Vladivostok.
