“Zashchita” to Provide Army with “Scorpions”

The first batch of army vehicles “Scorpion” will be delivered by the corporation “Zashchita” of the Defense Ministry in the next year.

This was reported to Interfax-AVN on Friday by a source in the military-industrial complex.

“In 2015, the company plans to make a few dozen army vehicles such as “Scorpion” in the framework of the state defense order,” said the agency interlocutor. He recalled that in June this year, by the decision of Interdepartmental Commission the three types of army vehicles “Scorpion” received the letter of 0-1 and they were taken into service the army.

According to the source, we are talking about military vehicles “Scorpion LShA-1” (LSHA – light assault vehicle) with an open top (tent), “Scorpion LShA-2” with a hard top and metal armored car “Scorpion LShA-2B.”
