Russia and India Complete Joint Military Drills
The joint Russian-Indian military drills codenamed Indra-2014 have been completed at the Prudboy training range in Russia’s Volgograd Region. This information was furnished by the press service of the Southern Military District.
“The Indra-2014 international exercise has been finished in the Southern Military District. On October 2, the final stage of the exercise was held at the Prudboy training range, during which the consolidated group of forces of the two countries under the auspices of the United Nations assisted the government of an imaginary country (Danisiya) in freeing the settlements (Vasyuki and Dubrovka) captured by armed terrorists,” the press center informed.
It’s necessary to point out that the Indra-2014 exercise involved more than 800 servicemen, about 100 units of weapons and military equipment, including the BTR-80, infantry fighting vehicles, Tigr armored vehicles, Mi-8 AMTSH and Mi-35 helicopters.
