Russia to Ensure Drones with Ammunition

Weapons for UAVs in the Russian Federation do not exist, but there are talks about it, the director of programs for the complexes with UAVs of the concern “Vega” Arkady Syroezhko told in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“There is not certified ammunition in relation to our drones. Dialogues are about to use existing ammunition in large UAVs. I think that this thing is promising, we need to develop it. Perhaps in development planning we will succeed to do something, but I say once again, that you ought to provide the existing means of destruction with necessary information,” Syroezhko said.

He said that modern aircraft weapon was created for manned aircraft to the appropriate weight and size requirements, and now the size of drones is much smaller than aircraft.
