Russia Begun to Create Composite Fighter of 6th Generation

Russian scientists have already begun work on the creation of the sixth-generation fighter, which will be made of composite materials, the general director of the Foundation for Advanced Studies Andrei Grigoriev said during the forum “Open Innovations”.

Currently Russia is testing the fifth-generation fighter, which can be delivered to the armed forces in 2016. PAK FA or T-50 – Russia’s fifth-generation fighter, equipped with a fundamentally new avionics and promising radar with a phased antenna array. The lead developer is JSC “Company “Sukhoi”, part of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). Compared with the previous generation fighters, T-50 has several unique features, combining the functions of attack aircraft and fighter.
