Spetsstroy of Russia to Prepare Cosmodrome “Vostochny” for Winter Until November 1
Cosmodrome “Vostochny”, under construction in the Amur region, will be ready for operation in freezing by November 1 of this year, the press service of the Federal Agency for Special Construction (Spetsstroy) said on Wednesday.
“Spetsstroy of Russia prepares objects of cosmodrome “Vostochny” to work in the harsh winters of the Amur. Currently the workers of Spetsstroy create a centralized heating system for cosmodrome on seven boilers that will supply heat to the technical facilities and the new city, being built near the cosmodrome. “All measures to ensure the cosmodrome with warm are scheduled to be completed by November 1,” was said in a statement. In addition, for the needs of the city, it is installing a new boiler – all construction and installation works are performed at an accelerated pace, to begin in November the installation of six boilers.
