Russia and China Boosting Cooperation in Helicopter Industry

Russian Helicopters CEO Alexander Mikheev has participated in the signing ceremony of inter-governmental agreements regulating cooperation between Russian and Chinese aviation authorities. The documents signed at the ceremony stipulate how companies from the two countries will interact in their manufacturing operations, export approval of airworthiness, and technological cooperation.

“China is one of the oldest and most important partners for the Russian helicopter manufacturing industry. The agreements that have been signed today should have a strong beneficial effect on our further collaboration, by making our cooperation easier in several key areas, including export of new and advanced Russian-made helicopters and associated equipment to the Chinese market,” Mr. Mikheev said after the signing ceremony, adding that these principles of interaction will significantly reduce the administrative and financial burden on the aviation industry of both countries.
