Russia Begins Designing New Radio Communications System
Russia has started working on a new-generation radio communications system. This came in a statement by Maj. Gen. Khalil Arslanov, Chief of the Main Communications Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces.
On October 20, Russia marks 95 years since the country’s Signal Troops were formed.
“We have started development work on the creation of a new-generation radio communications complex, which will be unique in its technical features and will significantly outperform all other systems of the type, created by the governments of other world nations,” Mr. Arslanov told reporters.
“In the near future, military servicemen and local departments will be provided with new-generation digital portable radio communications devices that have already been successfully used by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and have been proved highly effective during the Sochi Winter Olympics,” Mr. Arslanov noted.
