Ural Works of Civil Aviation (UZGA) initiated the establishment in the Sverdlovsk region of a nationwide Flight Test Research Centre for unmanned systems.

“At the moment the most acute problem in the work of head developers of drones with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is the test organizing for systems with unmanned aerial vehicles on stage of the chief designer and the tests with the combat use due to the lack of experimental and test facilities in the country. In this regard, we consider the problem of creating Flight Test Research Centre for unmanned aircrafts,” the UZGA General Director Vadim Badeja said in an interview with “Unmanned Aircraft” magazine distributed during the exhibition “Interpolitech 2014”.
