Russian Defence Ministry Signs Contract for Ratnik Gear Supplies


Russia’s Defence Ministry has signed a contract for supplying the Armed Forces with a set of the new generation Ratnik combat gear. This statement was made by Dmitry Semizorov, Director General of the TsNIITochMash Precision Engineering Research Institute.

“The contract has been concluded. In November, we are finishing work under a contract for the supply of the first generation gear. The work on a new one is about to be started. The first sets will be delivered this year, and the bulk of the supplies – starting from 2015. The contract is extended for three years,” Mr. Semizorov said, noting that the export configuration of the combat gear is ready for display.

“We have already demonstrated the export version of this gear at the EUROSATORY exhibition. In the near future, we will hold a meeting to prepare for the exhibition in Abu Dhabi in February 2015,” Mr. Semizorov concluded.
