Federation Council Approved Law on Establishing Research Center of Aircraft Industry


The Federation Council on Wednesday approved a law providing for the establishment of a national research center “N.E. Zhukovsky Institute” which will deal with the development of aviation science and technology. It was reported by RIA Novosti.

Besides the research the center will be also engaged in training. The Institute is created in the form of federal state budgetary institution and the Russian government will exercise the powers of the founder. Among the main sources of funding – the federal budget, income from work performance and implementation of the rights of intellectual property.

The SIC will include five leading research organizations.
