AvtoVAZ Starts Producing Pilot Batch of Lada Vesta

Russia’s AvtoVAZ has started manufacturing the pilot batch of Lada Vesta. The first car body was welded at the Izhevsk car factory in early November. All work under the project is being carried out in strict compliance with the production plan. This was reported by the company’s press center.

“From the beginning of the Lada Vesta project, its implementation has gone strictly according to the approved production schedule. Not everyone believes that we can meet the specified deadlines. However, we promised that the first car body would be welded in early November, and we have done just that. Now we are more confident than ever that we are going to launch series production of Lada Vesta on September 25, 2015, as we have planned,” AvtoVAZ President Bo Andersson pointed out.

It should be mentioned that the body of Lada Vesta was developed using a mathematical design method, with painting and welding lines being predefined in a digital model. This makes it possible to ensure a high standard of quality, reliability and comfort.
