Russia to Supply Peru with Mi-171Sh Military Transport Helicopters

Peru will take delivery of the first batch of the Russian Mi-171Sh military transport helicopters before the end of this year. This was announced by Russian Helicopters CEO Alexander Mikheev.

“As part of the contract with Rosoboronexport, we shall deliver the Mi-171Sh military transport helicopters to Peru. The first batch of four helicopters will be supplied to the Peruvian customer before the end of this year,” Mr. Mikheev stated.

“Rosobornexport is performing this contract as agreed upon with the customer,” Mr. Mikheev pointed out.

It’s necessary to mention that the Peruvian Government and Rosoboronexport signed an agreement on the supplies of helicopters to Peru in December 2013.

Today, the Mi-171Sh is one of the most popular military transport helicopters in the world. Experts note the versatility and high performance of the rotorcraft. The Mi-171Sh has proven itself in a number of local conflicts, law enforcement operations, as well as antidrug trafficking and search-and-rescue missions.
