FEFU to Create Technology of Waste-Free Processing of Marine Resources

Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) won a grant from the Russian Science Foundation in the amount of 750 million rubles for the project implementation of monitoring and waste-free processing of marine biological resources, the university representative said on Friday.

“Project Manager is a FEFU Rector Sergey Ivanets. Grant support will be implemented before the end of 2018, and the amount of funding is 750 million rubles. FEFU project involves realization of research on the creation of modern technologies of accounting, recovery and waste-free processing of marine biological resources, control the state of marine ecosystems and anthropogenic pollution of water environment, and the development of innovative medicines and functional foods,” was said in a statement.

Management of these areas has been taken by leading Far Eastern scientists working in the Far Eastern Federal University. The whole research groups that include experienced and young scientists will take participation in the implementation of each direction.
