Russia and China to Develop Cooperation on Composite Materials


The delegation of the All-Russian Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) has visited AVIC Composite Cooperation (ACC). ACC Director General Se Fuyuan familiarized the guests with the company’s opportunities and main directions of activity, and also highly appreciated the potential of bilateral cooperation with Russia.

“In the course of the negotiations, we have discussed cooperation prospects on polymer composite materials. We have agreed to meet again with ACC representatives in spring 2015 on the matter,” VIAM Director General Evgeny Kablov stated.

In particular, the scientists discussed the application of carbon fibers with standard toughness module and highly strong carbon fibers with average toughness module of Chinese production to develop and manufacture Russian composite materials of new generation. The agreement on the supply of these fibers in the interests of the Russian industry was reached.
