Heavy “Angara” Tested on Launch Pad


Carrier rocket of heavy class “Angara-5” has passed comprehensive testing at the launch complex “Plesetsk”, the representative of the press and information service of the Defense Ministry on Aerospace Defense Alexei Zolotukhin told reporters on Wednesday.

“Combat unit of the State testing Plesetsk cosmodrome completed comprehensive tests of universal launch complex for the space rocket complex ” Angara”, Zolotukhin said.

In the course of complex tests, cosmodrome specialists carried out a series of electrical tests of systems and components of the rocket “Angara-A5”, the starting equipment, tested the charging system and the readiness of the rocket “Angara” to conduct the first launch of the launch vehicle of heavy class “Angara-A5”.
