Russia to Launch Bulava Missile from Submarine in Late November
Russia’s Borey-class strategic submarine, the Alexander Nevsky, is due to launch the Bulava missile in late November. This information was presented by a source in the main headquarters of the Russian Navy on Tuesday.
“It is planned that the Alexander Nevsky submarine will fire the Bulava missile from the Barents Sea at the Kura test range on the Kamchatka Peninsula in late November. The launch is due to take place on November 28-30,” the source said.
It’s worth mentioning that the Alexander Nevsky is a Project 955 submarine of the Borey class which also includes such nuclear submarines as the Yury Dolgoruky, the Vladimir Monomakh, and the Knyaz Vladimir. The Yury Dolgoruky and the Alexander Nevsky were transferred to the Northern and Pacific Fleets.
