Russia to Completely Fulfill State Defence Order Targets
Russia has almost fully achieved all the planned goals of the state defence order for 2014. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.
“Practically all the planned targets of the state defence order for 2014 have been met,” Mr. Putin said at a meeting on the development of the national defence forces, adding that Russia should meet deadlines and amounts of weaponry supplies to the Russian Army by 2020.
“The share of modern military hardware in our troops should reach no less than 70% by 2020. These plans should be certainly fulfilled without any excuse based on circumstances. Deadlines and amounts of supplies should be met completely. We have everything we need for this,” the Russian President continued.
At the same time, Russia has already identified the types of armaments for the Army in the next decade.
“This will reduce costs for maintenance and service of similar weapons of various modifications,” Mr. Putin concluded.
