Russian Ground Forces to Participate in Six International Exercises
The Ground Forces of the Russian Federation will take part in six antiterrorist and peacekeeping military drills in 2015. This was announced by Maj. Kirill Kiselev, a spokesman for the Russian Defence Ministry.
“In 2015, the formations and units of the Russian Ground Forces are scheduled to participate in six joint antiterrorist and peacekeeping military exercises with army units of the armed forces of Serbia, India, Mongolia, China, and Belarus,” the spokesman said, noting that the Chief Command of the Ground Forces successfully conducted international joint exercises with the armed forces of Mongolia, India, and other countries in 2014.
It should be mentioned that the Russian Ground Forces will hold about 150 drills next year. Some of the exercises will be conducted with the participation of the Russian Air Force, the Russian Navy and Special Forces.
