Russia Creates New National Defence Control Center
The National Defence Control Center is officially operational. This was announced by Russia’s Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu during the opening ceremony.
“We have successfully completed the most important stage in creation of the National Defence Control Center, as well as regional and territorial control centers of the Russian Armed Forces,” Mr. Shoygu said.
“The centers are equipped with high-end computing systems, modern means of automation and communication, and employ over 500 skilled specialists. Thus, a new mechanism in the operation of the state defence body has been formed,” the Defence Minister continued.
“The operation of the National Defence Control Center will make it possible to carry out continuous analysis of the situation, develop ways to respond to the changes promptly and coordinate the activities of federal executive bodies in the defence sector,” Mr. Shoygu concluded.
