Target Program for Creation of Military Robots Adopted in Russia


The Russian Defense Ministry has approved a comprehensive target program “Creation of promising military robotics to 2025”, the Deputy Defense Minister Colonel General Pavel Popov said in an interview with the newspaper “Red Star”.

“This year, we have been developed and approved a comprehensive program entitled “Creating a promising military robotics to 2025″,” Popov said.

He recalled that the military-scientific complex in conjunction with the military authorities have developed the concept of the use of robotic systems for military purposes for the period up to 2030. In addition, a Defense Ministry commission was formed to develop robotics, led personally by the head of department Sergei Shoigu.
