Russian Army Received Half Thousand Latest Topographic Systems

More than 1.5 thousand sets of advanced geographic information systems, as well as 30 new mobile navigation and geodetic systems came in 2014 in Russian armed forces, the head of the Military Topographic Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Federation Sergey Kozlov told.

The troops received 30 modern mobile navigation and geodetic systems PNGK-1, the arming of central military control bodies, associations, formations, military units, military educational institutions and organizations of the Armed Forces is effectuated with modern geographical information systems for military purposes “Integration-64”, “Operator” and “Karta 2005″ (it was purchased more than 1,500 sets),” Kozlov said.

PNGK-1 will provide aiming of start and firing positions of troops, and for geographic information systems – to provide with officials geospatial information.
