Russia and India Ready to Start Joint Weapons Production
Russia and India may complement the pattern of weapons supplies with joint development and production of advanced armament systems. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin before his visit to India.
“The high level of bilateral cooperation and trust allows us to start a transition from the traditional model of supplies to joint development and production of advanced weapon systems,” Mr. Putin told reporters.
“We already have examples of such effective cooperation. I mean production of the advanced high-precision BrahMos missiles and creation of a multifunctional fifth-generation fighter aircraft,” the Russian President stated.
“Over the decades of cooperation in the military and technical sphere, India gained reputation of a reliable and time-tested partner,” Mr. Putin concluded.
