Carrier rockets “Shtil” and “Volna” can be reused to launch the payload into space. This was said to “Interfax” by the CEO and Chief Designer of “Makeyev State Rocket Center” (SRC) Vladimir Degtar.

“This is a consequence of the high adaptability of missiles, which allows you to perform various experiments in space. We have offers from foreign and domestic firms to conduct research starts,” said Degtar.

SRC in conjunction with the Navy effectuated more than 10 research spacecraft launches of ballistic missile submarines, refitted at the end of their useful life.

The three-stage carrier rocket “Shtil-1” is created on the basis of a ballistic missile R-29RM with additional set of telemetry equipment.
