Russia Preparing Resource-P No. 2 Spacecraft for Launch
The space industry specialists are preparing for the launch of the Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket with the Resource-P No. 2 earth remote sensing spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. All work is being carried out in accordance with the schedule. This was announced by the press service of the Russian Space Agency.
The Resource-P No. 2 spacecraft was transported to the assembly and testing site of Platform 112, where the specialists of JSC Progress will check it for leaks. On Monday, the spacecraft will be delivered to the fuel service unit to fill its engine tanks with propellant components and compressed gases. The Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket is currently being prepared at Platform 31, where the specialists are performing pneumatic and vacuum tests.
The launch of the Resource-P No. 2 is scheduled for December 26, 2014. The Resource-P No. 2 earth remote sensing spacecraft was delivered to the Baikonur Cosmodrome on November 17.
