Russia to Modernize Yak-130 Trainer Avionics

Russia’s KRET Concern will continue upgrading the avionics for the Yak-130 training aircraft developed and produced by the Irkut Corporation. This was reported by the press service of the concern.

“The KRET Concern has held a meeting on ensuring operational safety and airworthiness of the Yak-130 combat training aircraft. It was decided that KRET will continue modernizing the aircraft avionics,” the press center informed.

According to KRET CEO Nikolay Kolesov, the concern enterprises carry out regular activities to improve the quality of products, as well as participate in the meetings on improving reliability and maintainability of the Yak-130 aircraft.

It should be noted that the Yak-130 combat training aircraft is designed for teaching, training, and maintaining the skills of fighter pilots. The greatest advantage of the Yak-130 consists in its complex control system that makes it possible to fly at high angles of attack and perform aerobatics with ease.
