KRET in 2015 to Create Information Security Tools with License from Ministry of Defense
The concern “Radio-electronic technology” (KRET, part of “Rostec”) next year will begin to create national information security tools, including those intended for the storage and processing of information constituting a state secret. This was reported to Tass by the press service of the concern.
As it was explained in the press-service, in November, the Defense Ministry issued license for KRET to carry out activities in the field of information security tools and the first samples have already been sent for examination to the Ministry of Communications.
“Thus, the group can act as an umbrella organization, taking part in a competition for works for the Ministry of Defence. It also allows us to conduct own research and development work aimed at improvement of weapons and military equipment for different purposes,” CEO of KRET Nikolai Kolesov said.
