Russia Develops Advanced Equipment for New Submarines

The communication and control systems for the fifth-generation submarines are being tested on the stands. This was announced by a member of the board of the United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation and Director of the Control Systems Concern Andrey Riznyk.

“The complexes which will be installed on the fifth-generation submarines have already been manufactured and are being tested on the stands. The submarines will be laid in the future, but their equipment should be prepared in advance,” Mr. Riznyk said, noting that the difference between the fourth- and fifth-generation submarines will be obvious.

“The visualization will be widely used in the fifth-generation submarines. The vessels will be fitted with full-fledged screens, advanced automation and monitoring systems. We are working to minimize operator intervention and eliminate human errors,” Mr. Riznyk concluded.
