Integral Radar Field to Be Created in Russia in 2018

The concern “RTI” ahead of schedule plans to commission radar stations of high prefabrication “Voronezh-DM”, which will allow in 2018 to set up on the territory of the Russian Federation the integral radar field, CEO of Concern “RTI” Sergei Boev reported to “Interfax-AVN.

“As part of the contracts that were signed with the Ministry of Defence, we had this year to conduct state tests and put on combat duty the radar stations in Kaliningrad and Irkutsk. We have successfully coped with this task. In addition, ahead of schedule, we set on experimental combat duty the stations in the Yenisei and Barnaul,” S. Boev said.

He noted that in 2015 it is planned to put on combat duty a pilot station in Orsk, which today is built. “There’s construction in full swing. There we have already begun to supply equipment, including electronic systems as of transmitting and the receiving position,” S.Boev said.
