Aviation Equipment to Develop Small Aircraft Chassis


Russia’s Aviation Equipment has signed a contract with the Siberian Aeronautical Research Institute to develop a landing gear for small aircraft by 2016. The contract is estimated at 60 million rubles. Under the terms of the state contract, the Novosibirsk-based Research Institute shall perform research and development work for small aircraft, while the Aviation Equipment will develop a landing gear. The prototypes will be produced and tested at the Aviaagregat sites.

“Our participation in the project corresponds to the development strategy of the company as a leader in innovative engineering solutions and an integrator of aircraft systems. In 2015, we plan to finalize the concept of a new chassis for light aircraft at the Samara-based Design Center. The samples will also be manufactured in Samara at the Center for Technological and Industrial Competences,” Director General of Aviation Equipment Holding Maksim Kuzyuk said.
