Russia Sings Contracts to Supply Advanced Aircraft Compasses


The Moscow-based Kompas Design Bureau has completed modernizing the series of aircraft automatic direction finders with full transition to the domestic components. This information was presented by the press service of the company.

“The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have adopted the new-generation automatic direction finders. The Kompas Design Bureau has signed more than 20 contracts for the supply of these devices, including with the partners in Africa, South and Southwest Asia,” the press releases stated.

“The new-generation automatic direction finders ensure the flight safety, even in case of the failure of satellite navigation systems. They provide a successful solution of navigational problems, as well as significantly increase the safety of civil and military aircraft,” Deputy Director General of the Kompas Design Bureau Vladimir Maslyuk was quoted as saying in the statement.
