Satellite Constellation “Resurs-P” to Solve Problem of Earth Monitoring
The creation on the orbit of a constellation of several spacecrafts “Resurs-P” will allow to reach a new level of solving problems of Earth remote sensing, CEO of Rocket and Space Center “Progress” (Samara) Alexander Kirilin said to “Interfax-AVN”.
“Space system consisting of two units, allows to solve problems that are not available to a single object. Firstly, it is obvious that the amount of information derived from space will increase, respectively, in two times,” A.Kirilin said commenting the launch of spacecraft “Resurs-P” No. 2 implemented on December 26.
A.Kirilin said, “that secondly, the information must be supplied to the consumer very quickly: he should be able to get the shot as soon as possible from the date of issue of the application to the shooting.”
