2

The Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Prof. N.E. Zhukovsky has received a composite fin box in accordance with the plan of experimental work on the MS-21-300 aircraft. TsAGI specialists will check the box strength for compliance with the requirements of the Russian Aviation Regulations.

It should be noted that the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute has already tested the structurally similar patterns and prototypes made of composite materials for the benefit of the MS-21 program. The test results have made it possible to verify the calculation methods and show compliance between the calculated and experimental data. According to the information available, experimental studies of the fin box will be conducted in three stages to test its strength under operational loads and different conditions.
