Russia May Use Angara Rocket in Sea Launch Project
The specialists are currently discussing the possibility of using Russia’s new Angara rockets in the Sea Launch project. This came in a statement by a representative of the United Rocket and Space Corporation.
“The specialists of the United Rocket and Space Corporation and Energiya are facing a task to continue participating in the Sea Launch project, and the experts are currently studying the possibility of operating Russia’s new Angara rockets as part of this project,” the representative of the United Rocket and Space Corporation commented on the issue.
It should be noted that the Sea Launch international company was founded in 1995 with the participation of US aerospace giant Boeing, Russia’s Energiya, Norway’s Kvaerner and Ukraine’s Yuzhnoye and Yuzhmash design bureaus. This is a major commercial international project on creating and using a sea-based rocket and space complex.
