Russian Baltic Fleet to Create New Berthing Infrastructure


The new berthing infrastructure for mooring different vessels will be created at the naval harbour of the Russian Baltic Fleet by the end of 2015. According to the information available, the waterfront overhaul is currently underway at the naval harbour. The works have been fulfilled at the harbour wall with a total length of 1,600 m. Besides, 1.5 kilometers of berths are to be repaired this year.

The development of power supply systems is nearing its completion at the assembled berth, the construction of new infrastructure facilities, including the buildings for fleet headquarters, simulators and classrooms, has already begun.

The works involving over 180 specialists and some 50 units of construction machinery are to be finished by the end of 2015.
