According to the information available, the ship is equipped with an advanced complex for divers and a dynamic positioning system. The sailors have been trained to use remotely operated Panther and Tiger underwater vehicles for performing complex tasks, such as cutting and sawing ropes, releasing entangled objects and lifting them to the surface. The robotic arm can be used to perform different operations, for example, to lift the objects having a size of 2-3 cm. But the main purpose of the ship’s high-tech equipment is to accomplish rescue missions.
