Eastern Military District to Equip Drones with Thermal Imagers


The drones of the Eastern Military District for the first time will be equipped with thermal imaging cameras that allow you to track ground objects on the variation of temperature, to find people and work equipment, the district reports on Thursday.

“In the first quarter of 2015 all Eastern Military District drones “Grusha” will receive deep modernization. New drones will be equipped with new engines, advanced video and photo equipment, as well as thermal imagers, which was absent in the old design of the device,” the media reported.

It is noted that the modernization will significantly increase the mass of the payload on the device, and the new equipment will expand the range of tasks performed by the UAV. The improvement of aircraft by the specialists of defense companies will be effectuated on the spot – in the district units.
