Aviastar-SP Introduces New Production Technology

The specialists of Russia’s Aviastar-SP in cooperation with the Institute of Aviation Technology and Management created a unique radiant heating unit for titanium parts, which has no analogues in Russia. The economic effect of its introduction is estimated at 30 million rubles.

“This work is aimed at introducing the radiant heating technology using cold infrared lamps, which makes it possible to reduce labor intensity and energy consumption in the production of titanium parts,” Head of the Aircraft Construction Department at the Institute of Aviation Technology and Management Alexander Fedorov stated.

“According to preliminary calculations, the economic effect of this work can reach 30 million rubles depending on the introduction level of the new equipment. The positive results of this introduction can be used at other enterprises of the United Aircraft Corporation,” Mr. Fedorov concluded.
