Russian Air Force to Receive T-50 Fighters Next Year
The Russian Army will start receiving the newest T-50 (PAK FA) fighter jets of the fifth generation in 2016. This statement was made by Commander of the Russian Air Force Colonel General Viktor Bondarev.
“The aviation is being developed to increase its capabilities. The Russian Air Force is currently receiving the aircraft of the fourth generation, but in 2016 we will start supplying the T-50 fighter jet of the fifth generation, which is not inferior to the American F-22, and even outperforms it in some cases,” Mr. Bondarev said, noting that the troops are currently taking delivery of Su-30SM and Su-35S fighter jets, as well as modernized Su-25 strike fighters.
Speaking of the spectacular air shows performed by the Russian pilots, Mr. Bondarev said that this was done primarily for young people so that they wanted to serve in the Russian Army, in the Russian Air Force.
