Russia Starts Producing New Hovercraft for Siberia

Russia has started producing the new Kayman-10 hovercraft. The vessel was designed as a universal ship for Siberia capable of solving a wide range of tasks related to cargo and passenger transportation. According to the information available, the vessel has the following characteristics: hull length – 7.5 meters, width – 3.6 meters, dead weight – 1,000 kg, passenger capacity – 11 persons.

The new Kayman-10 hovercraft is equipped with Subaru UZ-36 250hp and Kohler ECV980 35hp engines, thus increasing fuel economy and reducing flexible protection wear. The motors make it possible to control a propeller fan and a cushion fan independently. The Kayman can move at a low speed with the maximum cushion inflation. In addition, it is not necessary to decelerate or stop by landing on the cylinders. You can smoothly stop, remove the cushion and move down to the inflatable cylinders without risk of damage.
