Russia’s CMD Receives Upgraded Navigation Systems


The reconnaissance units of the Central Military District located in Siberia have received the upgraded Grot-M navigation systems. This information was presented by the press service of the Central Military District.

It should be noted that the Grot-M navigation system is designed for determining current coordinates, calculating directional angles, recording individual points and routes, speed and trajectory of movement using the signals of GLONASS and GPS navigation systems.

In addition, the navigator is capable of recording any maps and routes using a special converter of the software package. The device memory is 256 MB, but it may be increased up to 16 GB. The operating temperature ranges from -40 to +55 °C. The upgraded Grot-M meets the latest requirements for navigation systems, and makes it possible to determine coordinates within the accuracy of up to 5 meters.
