Iraq Received Batch of Russian Helicopters “Night Hunter”


Iraqi military received another batch of Mi-28NE “Night Hunter” made in Russia, the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation said on Monday to “Interfax-AVN”.

“On Sunday, the An-124 delivered to Iraq four “Night Hunters,” the official said.

The first batch of Mi-28NE was delivered to Iraq in the autumn of 2014. October 30 the Ministry of Defence of the country announced that these machines are ready for combat use against the militants of “Islamic state”.

Earlier, the military-diplomatic source said to “Interfax-AVN” that Russia has successfully implemented a contract signed in 2013 for the supply of helicopters in Iraq, but the Russian military experts did not visited this country in connection with the execution of the contract.
