Russia’s Armata May Show Combat Capabilities in September
The Russian Defence Ministry and Uralvagonzavod are considering the possibility to demonstrate combat characteristics of the new Armata tracked vehicle platform at the Russia Arms Expo-2015 (RAE-2015) that will be held in September in Nizhny Tagil. This was announced by Uralvagonzavod Deputy Director for Special Equipment Vyacheslav Khalitov.
“The general public would like not only to see this development during the Victory Parade, but also to attend demonstration of its combat characteristics at the exhibition in Nizhny Tagil. We are currently discussing this issue with the Defence Ministry,” Mr. Khalitov stated.
Uralvagonzavod Director General Oleg Sienko earlier said that demonstration of the new platform might become a key event of the RAE-2015 exhibition. The Armata can also be seen during the Victory Parade in Moscow on May 9, 2015.
