Five Fighters T-50 are at State Tests


Five fifth-generation fighters T-50 (PAK FA) are undergoing state tests, the avionics is built for the tenth sample, Advisor to Director General of the concern “Radio-electronic technology” (KRET, part of the group Rostec) Vladimir Mikheev told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

Included in KRET, Research Institute of Tikhomirov (NIIP) makes multifunctional electronic systems with active phased array (AESA) for the T-50. In early 2014, the CEO of NIIP Yuriy Beliy reported to RIA Novosti that three aircraft with their systems are already connected to the state tests, two aircraft will join them by the end of the year.

“Everything is going according to plan. Even better, as I understand it. In any case, already five aircraft fly today, the sixth is on the way. We are building avionics for the tenth board,” Mikheyev said.
