Russian System GLONASS Attracts India
Russia and India have held talks on the subject of navigation and information services, and the Indian government customers interested in the Russian GLONASS satellite navigation systems.
This was reported to RIA Novosti news agency in the nonprofit partnership “GLONASS”. “At the moment, India is actively developing market of telematic services, the most popular of which are equipping of taxi fleets and large commercial companies. The interest in navigation technology is actively demonstrated by government customers, including the police,” NP “GLONASS” said.
According to the president of the nonprofit partnership Alexander Gurko, Russian technologies in the field of satellite navigation can be used in India in the systems of payment for roads, systems of response in case of accidents, and asset management.
