Russian Airmobile Units to Receive New Field Hospitals


All medical airmobile detachments of the Russian Airborne Forces will receive prefabricated hospitals on the basis of pneumatic framed modules before the end of the year. This information was presented by Major Irina Kruglova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Airborne Forces.

“The delivery set consists of 46 pneumatic framed modules fitted with modern medical equipment which makes it possible to perform various diagnostic and clinical research operations in the field,” Mrs. Kruglova pointed out.

“The pneumatic framed modules forming the basis of mobile medical complexes were developed with regard to experience of work under extreme combat conditions. The characteristics of the new medical systems with pneumatic modules fully comply with the requirements of the Airborne Forces,” Colonel Vyacheslav Berov said.
