Roscosmos to Revise Manned Space Exploration Prospects
The new head of the Russian Space Agency Igor Komarov has formed a working group to revise the manned space exploration prospects.
“I have formed a working group that comprises the representatives of several research institutions. The group will have to answer a number of questions, considering the future use of the ISS, the possibility of entering into strategic alliances for space exploration and the prospects for creating a new space station,” Mr. Komarov said, noting that recommendations of the working group will be included into the new Federal Space Program for 2016-2025 to be approved in 2015.
The projects included into the program will receive funding within the next decade. The plans outside the program will be discussed in additional documents, such as the concept of the national lunar exploration program and the long-term program of deep space exploration.
